The Krush Brain Game (Pt. 5)

Yogi Berra once said, “Baseball is 90% mental, and the other half is physical.” I always smile when I see or hear a Yogi quote but this one hits home, especially as we dig into our Brain Game Series.

90% mental would have been a great alternative name for the series because once we have the physical side of development set up and rolling and we start to develop skills and talent the mental side of the development is a critical player if we are going to truly tap into the potential.

What is the Mental Game? How is it different from the Brain Game? Is it different or are they one and the same?

Today, we talk with Bob Tewksbury, Certified Mental Performance Consultant. Former athlete, Bob pitched 18 years in professional baseball, Yankees, Cubs, Cardinals… and his experience in sport provides a unique perspective on the mental side of performance.

“90% Mental,” by the way, is the title of Bob’s latest book. We’ll dig into that this week as well as we discuss simple yet powerful strategies that you can use to improve your performance right now and set you up with confidence as you move forward.

It’s a very practical look at the Brain Game as we discuss the mental side of sport performance on this week’s episode of Krush Performance.
